Currently, I am about to complete my studies in the Social Administration and Political Sciences Department. This year for me is a gap year and a great chance to fill it with great memories from trips all over the world. I am a friendly, positive , easy going, funny person with the desire to meet other people from different countries, their culture, their interests. I live in the co-capital of Greece, Thessaloniki, a beautiful city with combination of landscapes from sea to mountains. From a little age my parents made me familiar with the idea of traveling and we visited many countries. Moreover, I was more than willing to participate in students exchange projects where I had wonderful experiences to the countries I was hosted from and also a wonderful time as a host. However, I have to admit that the most notable experiences were the ones as a college student, travelling with friends or alone as an adult is a completely different trip! Last year, I was on an Erasmus exchange program in the University of Northampton in the United Kingdom. Spending a couple of months there I had the opportunity to see many cities of the UK and discover a quite different culture from mine and the most important making many new friends. That is exactly what I would like to continue doing. In my free time I love singing with my guitar, playing tennis, swimming or riding my bicycle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a positive and active person I decided to get out of my comfort zone and search for new worthwhile experiences. I would really like to meet people from all over the world, become familiar with other cultures and discover the habits other people in my age have. I believe that through this site the world becomes more approachable. There is no better way to understand others and sometimes your own self than traveling in other places and meet the locals, listen to their stories, tell them yours, discover each countries beauties. And the most important tasting the local food! You can always travel a country in a conventional way, in a hotel etc, but you won't have the chance to see actually the country, the only way is to live with a local person!
