Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly listen rap. Also I like rock music in general, 'French variety', Gypsy guitar, 'World music' like Andalusian flamenco, traditional African music (especially the drums) or Gaelic voices, some electro & reggae music. This is not an exhaustive list. I'm sensitive to simply instrumentals, strong voices, poetic lyrics, emotion, intention & the inherent performance's 'imperfections', especially during jam sessions I really enjoy to assist.
The second thing I have to confess is that I don't watch so much movies. Maybe because unfortunately I have been disappointed a lot; maybe because sometimes I feel like an hostage for being so long time in front of the screen.
Anyways, I like psychological movies in general, dramas & thrillers, historic movies & movies about a specific topic, deeper, philosophical (for instance 'Her', about artificial intelligence). Also documentaries.
Reading is one of my favourite activities. I like poetry, philosophy especially and anthropology notebooks. I really enjoy reading the curiosities from other ages, historic documents; 'roman d'apprentissage' & adventure novels; essays about science, history, policy, spirituality too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A very short trip in Sahara, in its globality: meeting Tuaregs, sleeping in the open, running and jumping on dunes feeling free, gazing the most wonderful sunsets ever seen.
A 8 months stay in Thailand where I achieved a volunteering mission which was about English teaching, mangrove protection, construction stuff and more globally community life. The feeling to belong to the small village I stayed in was wonderful. I grew up a lot.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am able to teach you something about French & Spanish language & culture.
I would be glad to learn something about your culture (language, religion, recipes, social codes, literature,...), about some dance steps, some circus tricks, some drums (like djembé or cajón), some self-defense & martial arts combinations, or whatever you would be glad to teach me; I'm a very curious & passionate person so go on!
In any case, spontaneity makes everything; I'm not looking for teachers or pupils, people & places change every time, the mood & the appetites fluctuate. Sharing is the point, smiles, laughs, drinks, conversations, silences, complicity, excursions, whatever, even a ghost busters mission in an abandoned locked hotel with a stupid alarm (big up Kobie!), and so more.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A big smile & good vibes is a good start. To be continued.
