Our current mission is to have fun, meet new exciting people, and explore of much of the world as possible!

ABOUT ME

My name is Anthony and my wife is Dawn. We are both from Liverpool, England. We have been lucky enough to take two year long breaks from our normal lives to travel the world! Our first trip was in 2011-2012 and we travelled South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. Our second trip was 2015-2016 and we travelled South America and Central America, finishing the trip in Mexico. We have met a lot of amazing people along the way, and seen some unbelievable places.

PHILOSOPHY

We are both down to earth genuine people and we enjoy meeting people with the same values. We love our families and close friends and enjoy living life to the max. Travelling has opened our eyes to new things, people, experiences, and we have loved every second of it.

We have recently had our first child - a son, who we are hoping to pass down all our travel experiences to and ensure he has the hunger to travel when he's older! He is 10 months old now and already visited 3 countries!! :-)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are both fairly new to the CouchSurfing scene, however we plan to use the CouchSurfing for temporary stopovers whilst travelling in the future, in order to meet new people and experience the area's from a locals point of view!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far we've only surfed on a couple of couches...the first being Yuji's place in Melbourne. It has been a fantastic experience and a real eye-opener!! I think our first couchsurfing host is one of the best, and we've been really lucky that Yuji is actively involved in the Melbourne couchsurfing scene. So we have been out to a few of the Melbourne CS gatherings and met a lot of other cool CS people who we have kept in touch with, mainly Paulistravelling who is a really cool guy and took us out to see kangaroo's and then cooked a massive lunch for us at his home! The CS people we have met so far have been amazing and we are truly hooked on the whole couchsurfing scene!!!

Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem(-am)

One amazing thing we have seen was in Sihanoukville, Cambodia...we met a guy who worked in a restaurant called Sunset who was an incredibly kind and inspiring human being. He told us about a number of families not too far away that lived in a rubbish dump, and would eat food found in the dump and lived in shacks on there. We agreed to provide some supplies for these people and the next day Sunshine picked us up in a taxi and we bought food / medicine / clothing supplies from the local market and took them up to the people. It was unbelievable to see how these poor people lived, and even more amazing at how happy they were and grateful for the basic supplies we took them. This is one moment in our lives that has truly touched us and will stay with us forever.

We can also share some of our wonderful experiences we have had whilst travelling throughout South East Asia, South and Central America; and Australasia amongst others.
