About Me
ATTENTION: I LOVE LAST MINUTE REQUESTS! You don't have to be a last minute request but I don't mind people asking last minute. My schedule is subject to change at a moments notice and I like to live my life on a whim (when I can) so I understand and appreciate similar attitudes/situations :)
A brief note: I TRAVEL FREQUENTLY FOR BUSINESS all over the world but if our schedules line up I am more than happy to host you! Please try and make your requests AT MOST a week or two out, anything further out than that I usually do not know my schedule and most likely will be in another part of the globe and therefore will have to decline your request to stay with me.
Seeing how no one ever seems to guess my ethnicity I am curious to hear what you think my background is, just something interesting to hear the responses of :) Also, it helps me know if you actually read my profile.
I am an ambitious and curious person. I love to explore new opportunities every chance I can get. I have varied interests from art to economics and enjoy most topics just the same. I love to draw and sketch when I have the time and always up for a good read. I also enjoy food, a lot of food! I work out so I can eat :) I consider myself to be a beer and coffee snob and I am always on the hunt for a great new cafe or pub to call "home". At the end of the day I want to have new experiences and try new tasks that can challenge me physically and mentally. I enjoy meeting new people and creating new memories.
I always try to live outside of my comfort zone. Life is too short to hide behind monotony. I always want to challenge myself to explore what the world has to offer. I feel by living outside the box you truly get to take in life on this rock and grow as a person, both in business and my personal life. You never know where a path will take you until you go down it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to be able to explore the world with like minded people and get the "inside scoop" on a city while making great friendships through meaningful experiences.
Interests
Skiing, hiking, camping, swimming, running, eating, coffee, beer, art nouvea, architecture, pubs, cafes, driving my car fast (anything that gets the blood pumping), and getting lost in new places (on purpose).
Music, Movies, and Books
I love most types of music, it just depends on my mood. However, I am not a huge fan of metal or rap.
As for movies there are a bunch, so my favorite type of genres are historical, action, comic books movies, and horror. I.e Iron Man, Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Saving Private Ryan, etc.
I love to read when I get the chance. The last book I read was the Radetszky March. I enjoy philosophical books and anything related to military history, both fiction and non fiction. I have a ton of art and reference books that I periodically browse through to refresh my knowledge of those ares. Two of my favorite books are Atlas Shrugged and The Exploits and Adventures of Brigadier Gerard.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I quit my job and started my own business
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn new languages and cultures and to get the local flavor of new places I visit. I am open minded and have many interests so anyone that has something to teach I am open to.
I can teach most anything you want to know about finance and investing, history, cooking, and beer haha There is lots so just ask.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share an enthusiasm to meet new people, explore, learn, and have a good time. I am more than happy to cook for a host or take you out for a night.
