Overview
About Me
Fun Fact Alert: My first name is Ercole. Anthony is actually my middle name.
I am a fun-seeking guy ready to experience more of the world by tasting the dust in the air, feeling the crunch of snow beneath my feet, and spending hot, sweaty nights in some dingy beach side bar enjoying local culture. That is my attitude in life. I have never been the type to want to experience other cultures in a sterile environment or peering beyond a piece of glass. I have a very easy-going nature and am willing to try (most) anything once.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been told by many of my friends (for years!) that this is THE way to travel. I hadn't listened up 'til this point, and I am now realizing its benefits. I am wanting to experience, first-hand, cultures alien to mine. Staying in a hotel and even to some extent a hostel will not give me the same cultural and personal experiences that staying in someone's home will. I am hoping to make friends throughout my travels whom I can one day offer the same kindness and experiences to in return.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to name, but if you're twisting my arm,
Movies:
Nearly any movie by Stanley Kubrik, John Carpenter, the Coen brothers, Quentin Tarantino, but so many more.
Books:
the Bible, Confederacy of Dunces, Tracks- any travel literature really, Tolkein, every Calvin and Hobbes (confession: I don't read as much as I ought)
Music:
Almost anything except rap or death metal, any New Orleans jazz, and any Cajun/Zydeco music
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It doesn't necessarily feel amazing, but I took the risk of going down to a Caribbean island for medical school. It was one of the most amazing things I done, not only because it was a risk to get back to the states for residency, but because it was my first time away from home for any length of time. I was able to immerse myself into the local culture and see some truly breathtaking sights while down there.
Teach, Learn, Share
Looking forward to the opportunities!
