Hello everyone! My name is Anthony Forlizzi. I'm 26 years old and currently living my lifelong dream of traveling the entire world. Last year I graduated from the University of Massachusetts - Boston with a BS in Supply Chain Management and a minor in History. I worked my entire college career as a pizza cook and when I graduated worked as much as I possibly could to save up for this trip, and when the time came that I was ready I left my job and began my journey with my girlfriend Breada in Bangkok, Thailand.

I love traveling, and it will be something I will continue to do my entire life. My two favorite aspects of traveling are meeting new people from around the world, and trying the local cuisine.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

As I mentioned in my About Me section, one of my favorite parts of travel is meeting new people. I think Couchsurfing is a great way to meet locals in the cities you are visiting, rather than fellow travelers. Don't get me wrong, I love meeting other travelers as well, but I feel like it's much easier to get a more authentic feel for a city by meeting with the locals who live there everyday and can tell you so much more about it than a guidebook can. Also, I would be lying if I didn't mention staying with someone, especially in a more expensive area of the world, is much better on my budget than staying in a hostel or guesthouse. I travel on a fairly tight budget, so every little bit helps.

This is such a difficult question for me, because it's so hard for me to choose favorites, but i'll give it a go.

Music : I listen to just about everything, but I find myself listening to rock and EDM mostly. I also have learned to enjoy country music over the last few years, and have slowly listened to more jazz and classical recently as well.

Movies : Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, The Lives of Others, Bad Boys, Role Models, Tropic Thunder, The Other Guys.

Books : 1984, Fareinheit 451, Brave New World, Animal Farm , A Song of Ice and Fire series, every Harry Potter written, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series, Siddhartha, Freakonomics, The Tipping Point, Vagabonding.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I did what most of my fellow American friends want to do, but are too afraid: quit my job and decided to pursue my dream of traveling the entire world. I may not know what my future may bring, but knowing I am doing what I love, and with who I love, make it all worth it.

Good conversation. The occasional joke or two. I can also cook dinner for my potential hosts and provide cheap beers.
