I believe that everyone has a unique and valuable story to tell, and I'm keen to try to understand and learn from all of them.

I'm half Filipino, half Welsh. Born and raised in Hong Kong, but have grown up with many opportunities to travel around the world. I find the world and it's many cultures fascinating, and I find travel to be one of life's greatest gifts.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Life is short and full of different and interesting ways of doing things, and this seemed like one of them.

I think what mainly attracted me to Couchsurfing was the sense of unpredictability, which essentially is the essence of adventure, that Couchsurfing seemed to offer.

I feel that Couchsurfing provides the opportunity to experience cultures and areas more intimately, by immersing yourself in it more deeply and more truly getting to know the people that reside within it. It seems like the perfect way to capture the spirit of the place I'm visiting.

Couchsurfing seems like a fun way to get to know new people, and potentially make lifelong friends from cultures across the world. I genuinely hope to host one day too, once I'm no longer a student and have my own place.

Currently, this my first time ever Couchsurfing. I hope to add this experience to my life's growing list of fond memories (hopefully with you in it!).

This Easter I'm traveling with my lifelong friend, Clarence (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/clarence-ma), whom I had the pleasure of getting to know during my upbringing in Hong Kong. He shares many of my personal philosophies, and has a similar love for travel.

I love thinking about the big questions, and the complex beauty of life and the Universe we inhabit.

I am currently studying physics at university. I have interests in philosophy and programming, and recently have been trying to expand my world view by taking an interest in religions and spirituality (although I am currently religiously unaffiliated).

My greatest fear in life is in having a too narrow world-view, and having missed the opportunity to experience the vast richness and depth that life has to offer to everyone.

I aspire to experience life deeply, richly, dangerously, and full of adventure. In my opinion, an existence without change, drama or experience is a life not lived to its fullest. Chaos is what makes the world so fascinating, and I find that it is this very nature of life that allows us to experience it as an incredible adventure. I am entirely grateful for being able to experience it.

To me life is all about the adventure and the experiences that come with it. I try to value experiences over possessions - as I feel this is truly the richest way to live life in my opinion. As a result of this personal philosophy, I find that travel is one of the only things that you can pay for that truly makes life "richer".
