I am a 24 year old currently living in Chicago, Illinois. I've grown up and lived in the Midwestern U.S. my entire life, but traveling has always been important to me. While I was getting my degree from Purdue, I studied in Sydney, Australia for 6 months. Less than a year later, I got my degree in Psychology and worked in academia for a couple years. I'm now working remotely in the tech industry.

I love to visit new places, meet new people, drink coffee, hike, play tennis, work out, cook, and occasionally go out for drinks. I'm laid back and open minded, and am excited to cultivate a community through Couchsurfing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've lived in Chicago proper for over a year, but I'm starting to look for a new home. Even though I love Chicago, I've been in the area my entire life, and the travel itch is back.

My favorite memories from traveling always involve the people I meet along the way, and Couchsurfing is a great way to see the world while making new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm currently reading One Hundred Years of Solitude. Some recents on my watch-list are Everything Everywhere All At Once and Nope. For music, I love singer-songwriters, folk, RnB, really any genre (Paul Simon and Mac Miller are consistent favorites).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was studying in Australia, some friends and I spent time in New Zealand. It's still the best trip I've been on, and the hikes there were incredible (Wellington area).

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm open minded and would love to teach, learn, or share most things. I can effectively teach certain concepts in Psychology, basic English (I taught English online for a year), and cooking (food prep, how to find art and mindfulness in cooking, and some favorite recipes).

I'd love to learn anything that you're passionate about, I love being a part of people's passions. Specifically, though, I'd love to learn more Spanish or the basics of another language.
