Overview
About Me
Hi there! I am a PhD student at the University of Chicago. I like reading, running, camping, and mountaineering.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To make friends while traveling! A few friends of mine that had tried it all had great experiences to share with me. I think it would be wonderful if people from different corners of the world who don't know each other can rely on some kind of unnamed trust and see how beautiful the spark is that jumps out of the sharing.
Interests
I am a big nature-lover. I'm very curious about this world and constantly try to satisfy this curiosity by either actually seeing and feeling it or reading.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In the winter of 2015, I climbed to the peak of a high-altitude mountain in Sichuan, China with the mountaineering team of my university. The climbing itself was actually fine but I spent two sleepless nights in a stone shelter at a campsite with an altitude of 4,700 meters. The temperature was close to -30 Celcius and there were no fireplaces or heaters whatsoever...
What I Can Share with Hosts
My experiences and knowledge so far. My friends say sometimes my thoughts are very "weird" and I think it would be interesting for my future hosts to hear of some of those :). Also, I can cook a few dishes and I would make some Chinese food (Cantonese cuisine) if my future hosts would like.
