26 year old dude from Belgium. I'm laid back, open-minded and naturally interested in and fascinated by science and spirituality. Always been into sports as well. Played basketball for 10 years of my life, during which I made the provincial selection team of Antwerp. After basketball I started to practice all kinds of martial arts, in which I also achieved some titles. Ultimately, i quit playing sports at a high level. Partly because my dad kept pushing me more and more mentally and physically, to the point I had a different injury every week and no social life whatsoever. From there on out I actually got stuck in a downward spiral. Quit school, quit sports and started abusing particular substances, mainly to escape the fact that I didn't know what heck I was doing with my life. Struggled for years healthwise, things weren't going so well between the rest of the family and myself, I became super closed, introverted and aloof, etc. Long story short though, I got sober, designed my own regimen of sprinting, longboarding, swimming, calisthenics, and I started working out again as well as practicing meditation and yoga. Became more conscious about what I eat, so all things organic are somethings I'm pretty interested in as well. I also got a job, made and saved some money, and finally worked towards materializing a ten year old dream of mine to travel the world, experience different cultural customs, people, food, landscapes and wildlife. Right now I have a loving family, four dogs, a few close friends and many neighbourhood friends and acquaintances. My dream is to one day settle down somewhere and become as self-sufficient as possible, close to loved ones, possibly even creating an intentional community.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

Because I suspect it to be a great way to meet cool locals and also ideal for me to diversify my accomodation options. At times I will stay at hostels and campsites, other times I will be WWOOFing and couchsurfing. Eventually I will look for a paying job that offers accomodation so I can add to my saved up money to buy a campervan and travel around New-Zealand.

Actually there's no limit to what I might listen to. Personally I like to think outside of those labels. If it hits my spirit I'll get near it.
