About Me

ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Anthony. I had the chance travel in Europe when I was younger and to live a few months in Northern America (Austin, TX, US and Hamilton, Ontario, CA) for studies or work. That gave me an unfailing thirst of curiosity for other cultures. I think meeting new people is one of the most wonderful experiences life can give us.

I just come back from a 7 months trip in Asia (http://maisouestcequonva.tumblr.com/) where I heard first about couchsurfing. Since then, I met lots of interesting people in travelling or events.

To say more about me, I am a calm person, smily, curious and willing to discover the world through the eyes of other people. Hope to meet you soon :)

PHILOSOPHY

"Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others." - Groucho Marx.

> I don't have a lot of principles, I am an open-minded guy, thought I do have values :) And well, I put this quote also because it's from a Marx Brother which means I love to laugh.

Also, I am a guy who thinks life is short, so I like to appreciate every moment of it. So to summarize my philosophy in 3 points, we could say: open mindness, laugh and poetry!

Interests

I'm interested in discussions, I am really a lover of cooking from all over the world. I like to feel different atmospheres, different cultures surrounding me. I like to read books that'll make me think about my life. I love trains and boat trips. I love to watch good (old) movies, especially comedies (I am a huge Marx Brothers' or Family Guy's fan). I love hanging out in bars, or discovering small lost but good restaurants. I like to walk randomly in cities that I don't know, to see what's going to happen, I am really curious of all sort of underground cultures.... and oh yes.... I love love love food! Hum... did I say that already? ;)

I am also interested in the Asian culture since my last trip, and especially in yoga, meditation and more broadly buddhism.

I do play a little bit of music (piano), event if I don't have the time anymore to play seriously.

To be more academic, I can say I am also interested in languages, sociology and anthropoly, politics, economics, philosophy, communication...

Finally, I can say I am interested in others... because they make me what I am by enriching me of new ideas, new ways of thinking or being, they make me discover new landscapes, new food, new drinks, new possibilities :)
