About Me

CURRENT MISSION

As of right now I should stay put, due to my studies, and that... makes me want to travel even more!

ABOUT ME

I'm 23 years old, brought up in the family of 6. My mom is Polish, and my dad is Haitian, so I'm biracial, and in a way bi-cultural (Poland had definitely bigger influence on me, though). I'm a positive person, with a sense of humor shaped by stand-up comedy. I don't really have any big goals, as I feel like having them would shut me out of the world and in my head. Instead I like to live day by day, enjoying the ride.

PHILOSOPHY

I am the kind of guy, that when he gets to the most beautiful valley he has seen, he still wants to see what's behind the hill. That said, through the years I have learned to enjoy small things in life. So many never take the time to stop and smell the roses.

By the way, I just got 3 new couches, so surfers are welcome :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So, one time, me and my flatmate were hitchhiking south through Balkans. It was the middle of August, the heat was pouring from the sky and we were stuck for hours around 150 km before the Croatian-Bosnian border. Then out of nowhere this guy stops and is like 'are you guys ok?'. We weren't, both of us sweaty and disgusting, didn't have a proper shower in about a week, you guys know how it is on a trip. Despite all that, the guy took us in, and to his house, let us take a shower, fed us, gave us some water, and even drove us all the way to the border. I have never made a friend that fast.

Interests

I'm an engineer, so everything tech really rocks my boat. I'm a big NBA fan, I play video games, exercise, all the usual, I guess. I used to play instruments a lot, but I lost the flare somewhere along the way (but mark my words, I haven't played my last tune just yet).

Music, Movies, and Books

That one's tough. I used to go to musical school and it's hard for me to decide on a genre of music, and don't even get me started on artists. Same goes to movies and books, there too many to choose from. It's like choosing a favorite child. If I had to choose what to take with me on a deserted island, I'd probably take Jimi Hendrix's albums, Pulp Fiction copy, and The God Father hard cover (and a TV, and a record player).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Masuria district. Great big lakes of Poland and beautiful landscapes. Me and my friends were on a sail trip for 4 days now. We are pretty good at it, one of our crew reads clouds like a pro. So, it's warm and sunny, we're taking a dip in the middle of the lake, when I see the captain's frown. 'Let's get the fuck out of here!' she shouts, and we listen. Turns out a big storm sneaked up on us, and was rolling straight toward our boat. We took off. After about 10 very nervous minutes we managed to get to the shore, then it started raining, almost immediately. Usually it takes a few minutes before full storm breaks out, not this time though. Rain started pouring, and it was accompanied by icy needles and a lot of thunder. The whole crew got the fuck out of the yacht, but then I remembered something and had to get back on the bouncy board, going up and down two meters at a time. I dived into the cabin, the storm was getting worse, my crew screamed that I have run, and that I am insane, and what the hell are you doing there?! I wish I took a photograph of their faces when I came up with... our booze in each hand. After that we spent one of the worst storms in the great Masuria district history, eating pizza and drinking booze.
