About Me

Originally from the Las Vegas, NV area, I went to university in southern California, lived in Indianapolis for a couple years, and now I live and work in Washington DC. I grew up traveling and have never stopped! In 2014, I backpacked through Southeast Asia, spent the summer of 2015 backpacking through Europe, and am always looking for the next adventure. 25 countries and counting!

Since I am new to CS and don't have many reviews, I'd be happy to share my Airbnb reviews as I am a very active user in that community!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whenever I travel, I hate to consider myself a tourist. Travel is about so much more to me than a vacation or seeing all the typical touristy spots. I travel so I can get to know a place, meet the people, and experience things well of the beaten path of most tourists. I love that couchsurfing can help me meet people who will enrich my travels and expand my view of the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: All sorts of things. I love country music, classic rock, and can never say no to 'Summer Hits of the 90s' Pandora station.

Movies: Anchorman, Fight Club, Catch Me If You Can

Books: All of the Harry Potter series (of course), anything by Dan Brown, Paddle Your Own Canoe

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Motorbiking across rural, southern Laos was pretty incredible. Along the way there were tons of waterfalls to explore and it was so far off the beaten path that I got to make some great connections with locals, learning that sometimes you don't need language to communicate.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to share my passion for learning about the world by teaching my hosts as much as I am sure they will teach me. I'm pretty good in the kitchen too and love to share my love of food!

I am clean and respectful, definitely willing to help out when needed.
