About Me

Music/film/book/art lover who likes to spend my time listening to records, hiking, doing yoga or parkour, getting lost in an information vortex on the internet, learning linux, growing food, and watching life happen in general, all the while furiously analyzing it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was originally drawn to couchsurfing many years ago, because I liked the idea of meeting new people in places I was travelling, and being able to learn from them about their culture/country and just their different perspectives on things. Many years later, and I've hosted more people than the other way around, but it's mostly for the same reason. It's enjoyable to meet new people from other places and share our differing perspectives on things, and just have a good time and hang out. And maybe I'll stay with those people some day when I'm the one travelling, but either way it doesn't matter. It was a fun time!

Interests

Some things I love and/or am good at: gardening, cooking, making public art and public pranks, losing track of time, climbing trees & buildings, cooking, doing parkour, making margaritas, exploring abandoned places, deleting emails, discreetly looking to see what the people in front of or behind me at the grocery store are buying, constantly trying new beer and wine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life, to me, is pretty amazing and I don't try to rank things I experience. Some things register as particularly significant, but even then, often that's just personal/subjective. I try to realize as often as possible just how amazing the very experience of life is.
