About Me

Now after 6 years living in Berlin and travelling a lot i moved back home, where i come from: Thuringia the middle of Germany, we say the green heart because we have a lot of beautiful forest. So i am arriving here in this small town more and more, but working here is still not so easy as an actress. Because of that i will keep on travelling for shows and workshops. I did couchsurfing for very long, not through internet, but by living here and there in friends places or places of my friends friends. So i am used to make home fast. Here in Ilmenau we have a University, which is great, because it is still a bit of the Bigcity-feeling, that i had now for those years in Berlin. A lot of people from everywhere all over the world are studying here. We locals love the nature and the fresh air in Ilmenau, but for the students this city is sometimes to small. From time to time i perform a Solotheaterpiece here and i also give danceworkshops. In Berlin i am working with Minako Seki, a japanese dancer and choreographer and i am also part of Flocks and Shoals Performance Collective. With a friend we founded the comical duo Jacqui und Chrizy, which we perform on parties and all kinds of celebrations. This is what i do and love. Now back in my home close to my family and friends i am rooting, to always have a place to come back to.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is for me a great way to be not just a tourist, but to become part of the place I visit. For me it was always uncomfortable to travel as somebody, who is just watching. I enjoy to involve myself in every day life and by that to get to know how is living somewhere else, far from what i am used to or close to how i live. Like that traveling was and is always a teaching for me, that gives me the present of making experiences and a family all over the world.

Interests

I love to dance and i love to be in nature. I am interested in how people experience and see life. Theater is for me a way to communicate in direct and uncovered way. Like that it is an important part of my life. I practice meditation and i try to move every day, so that my body as my workingtool stays alive ;)
Silence is something important for me and curiosity towards life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Murakami i am reading at the moment a lot.
Herman Hesse is an author, that was like a teacher for me.
Music i am very open to all kinds of, because i use it for creating theater and also for training. I started to sing and include more and more songs in my pieces, to tell the story on an emotional level, that can be more easiely reached by music than by words.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in India twice for learning traditional theater and dance forms in Kerala. It was such a tough time and also such an important experience for me. It changed a lot in my mind. And i am so thankful for this opportunity to get to know this other world.

Teach, Learn, Share

In Workshops I share the Seki Method and a physical theatertraining, that contains Method Acting tool and Improvisation Technics. I also give massage to my parents and friends. And i love to share moments in nature just observing and enjoying.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you come to my home i can share with you a beautiful nature and a small city with a bit of old german culture. Goethe was living and writing here in Ilmenau and we still have a lot of nice places to be.
