I am a French guy currently living in Adelaide, Australia with my British partner. We have been here 1 year now and love it! We both work in professional jobs and have enjoyed spending our time off travelling around Australia, taking advantage of the outdoor activities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always believed in the ethos of a sharing economy, having used blablacar to car share with strangers and share houses for renting. I have travelled in Europe/USA using Couchsurfing and had nothing but good experiences. I am very open and we have found that when you reach out to others, the experience is so much richer. I am concerned that “stranger danger” and our loss of community is leading to a degradation in this culture and to the relative isolation of people. We have a modest spare room and would love to meet new people to welcome to Adelaide.

Interests

I am a keen runner and hiker, and love to put on my running shoes and go out explore, whether it be coastal road routes or more adventurous on the trails. I also like to go out in the evening, Adelaide has a number of bars I like to visit and restaurants which are delicious. I am a keen cook and like to sample new cuisines. I am a big fan of live music too!

Quitting my safe job in my home country and coming to Australia, to the other side of the world, adapting to a foreign language!
