ABOUT ME

Hey mates! Here's my story so far ...
I've arrived from France to Australia almost a year ago as a Working Holiday Visa, and I traveled around the country for 6 months (including Perth - Darwin - Uluru - Cairns - Brisbane in a van). Then I settled down in Brisbane for another 6 months, working for a videogame company. I'm now leaving Australia, and gonna visit New Zealand, Japan, Vietnam, and Cambodia on my way to Europe. After a short European summer roadtrip, I'll be heading to Canada in September, where I'll be spending at least one year.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I discovered CouchSurfing while being in Australia. I love the concept and would be pleased to meet people while traveling. I really think the best way to get to know a place is through local people, which is why, as soon as I'll be living in my own flat in Montreal, I'll be as good an host as possible. :)

Interests

Back in France, I was more into urban life : going out with friends, enjoying a good restaurant along the riverside, drinking the perfect cocktail in a cool club, visiting a new contemporary art exhibition, going to some hip artist concert, etc...
In Australia, I've discovered how much I also loved living in the outback, hiking through amazing National Parks, taking pictures of the ever so dramatic landscapes, swimming under waterfalls or in natural ponds, bush camping and cooking with friends around a campfire.
So I guess now I'm pretty open-minded to any kind of experience, as long as I get to discover new places, new cultures, new food, new people ...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies : I love going to the cinema, and enjoy every kind of movie, from low-budget indie productions to big blockbusters with lots of FX. I'm also a bit of a TV show addict (Lost, Dexter ...)
Music : I'm mainly into electro (Daft Punk, Justice, edBanger Records, Breakbot, 2ManyDjs, ATrak ...) but I'm really opened to any style of music !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking around Australia was undoubtedly an amazing experience: one old campervan, tens of new friends, hundreds of pictures, thousands of kilometers ...

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn Spanish, as I plan to go to South America someday. I could give French lessons against Spanish lessons if someone was interested.
I discovered photography in Australia, and I'd love to learn more about it. If you have any skill in that department, I'd be more than interested.
I'd be glad to share my interest in cooking (and baking: muffins are my specialty) !
I can teach computing, but would rather stay away from computers while I'm traveling :)
