About Me

G'Day, my name's Anton - a Russian who spent most of his adult life living and studying in Slovakia. I just finished the second year of my studies in electronics and am planning to go on Erasmus+ to Poland next semester.
This summer I had great plans of going to Nigeria for an internship, but sadly it didn't work out for the second time :( Thus, I have decided to go do some travelling and already managed to visit my buddies in Turkey.
Next trip I am planning is to hitchhike around France, because the last time, a year ago, was nothing to write home about. I am much more prepared now and even parle un peu francais.
I also do photography, as a hobby, while I am travelling. Check out my ig @antonmeep

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Even since I was a young boy, I was lucky enough to travel with my parents - we visited historical sites, went to museums and art galleries. Needless to say, I didn't enjoy them a bit and now, being old enough to make my own decisions regarding the way I travel, I realized just how right I was as a child. I truly believe that travelling, real travelling, is not about visiting famous places and marking it out on your checklist - it is about people you meet on the way, happy little accidents and having fun.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Endless russian jokes (anecdotes) of course! I honestly find them hilarious and sharing it with others is my pleasure.
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson go on a camping trip. They pitch their tent under the stars and go to sleep. Sometime in the middle of the night, Holmes wakes Watson up and asks him:
- "Watson, look up, and tell me what you see"
- "I see thousands and thousands of stars"
- "And what do you deduce from that?"
- "Well, if there are thousands of stars and even a few of those have planets, it's quite likely there are some planets like our Earth out there. And if there are a few planets like Earth, there might also be life"
- "Watson, you idiot, it means that somebody stole our tent"
