Who am I?
Hello, I am Anton 21 years old. I live in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. I study at the Economical State University on Information Security.

Sport
I've been a professional sportsmen in Water polo (I've been playing for 7 years), before it I've tried myself in swim, but it less interesting than playing Water polo. Somedays I had to finish with sport, because I got injured and couldn't continue. Today I just run in the morning in the park, which nearby my flat and do some exercises for me.

Travelling
I've started to travel when I was 4 years old. My parents took my sister and me on a trip from St-Petersburg to Kislovodsk. It was amazing, we've been walking in the mountains and going on excursions. From this time I fell in love with travelling. After it I've visited a lot of countries (of course, it's not a lot for somebody, but for me it's a lot and I am not going to stop travel).
Also, I've visited some countries, when I played Water polo. It was a sport camp, but we've always enjoyed the culture and views of the country we've visited.
Talking about last time, I visited Turkey, Georgia and had trip to the south of Russia with my girlfriend in the summer 2018. Also, in may 2019 we had a trip across Italy and cruise between Finland and Estonia.
Now we are planning trip to Germany in July and the second trip to the south of Russia in August 2019.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think, Couchsurfing is the best way to get to know the culture, traditions and lifestyle of the inhabitants of other counties. Locals can tell you more then the internet or a guide, can show you secret places of their city. You can learn unusual facts and receipts of national dishes only from inhabitants.

Interests

Programming
I'm studying IT, learning some programming languages and I really like it. Now I'm codding on Python and planning to expand my knowledge. In the future I want to work information security specialist.

Cooking
I love cooking a lot. When I tried it for the first time I didn't expect it to be so interesting and exciting. Most of all I prefer to cook traditional Ukrainian soup Borsch, Italian dishes like Carbonara and Lasagna. Also, I will be interested in learning new recipes of national dishes of other countries.

Reading
I can't pretend my life without reading good books. It's very interesting when you can immerse yourself and reflect about some actions. Usually I read novels and detectives.

Collecting
I collect books from one publisher and now I have a small collection, which includes a little more then 50 books and which I am going to expand. Also, I collect glass shots from different countries and cities and now my collection includes 12 shots from cities I visited.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Music has a significant place in my life. I am melomaniac and can listen almost everything, but most of all I prefer Rock and calm music.

Films:
One of the few things that I never get tired of doing is watching movies. I watch everything from drama to horror films. Also, I love to watch different TV-show about animals on Discovery and Animal planet. I can watch it all night long, because they are very interesting for me.

Series:
In free time I can watch series. Sometimes I do it with my girlfriend (when our interests coincide).

Books:
Oh, it's very important thing in my life. I read books nonstop everywhere and everytime. Mostly I prefer classic literature. I've already read all novels by Erich Remark and Jack London. Also lots of Ernest Hemingway's novels and other famous classic authors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I had a trip in the summer 2018, I visited Caucasus Mountains. It was amazing. I made a paragliding flight from the top point of there place (3300m) up to the ground. The flight have been continued for 20 minutes. It was unforgettable and unbelievable. The view was fantastic and incradible, I can't explain my feelings that moment.

I can tell you about Russia especially about Saint-Petersburg, its history, books and writers, scientists and architecture.
As I study on information security, I also can show how to protect yourself in the internet, can tell about IT, programming languages and other computer stuff.
Moreover I can teach you Russian language and how to cook Borsch (if you want it).
