About Me
After having made amazing experiences while Couchsurfing in more than twelve countries, I decided to host people more frequently at my small student apartment here in Groningen!
Anyone is welcome to be my guest (!), especially people from Indonesia, as I am currently learning Bahasa Indonesia. Don't be shy to write me a couch request!
My name is Anton and I'm 23 years old, from Berlin, Germany, and love to hitchhike, play the guitar, surf, learn new languages and travel!
Furthermore, I enjoy writing and founded the website antonabroad.com on which I publish my articles and stories.
I would consider myself as a passionate, lifelong learner and I am interested in history, media studies, politics, sports (soccer, swimming and boxing) and play the guitar.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a travel-hack and definitely one of the best inventions of the internet... I am really thankful for the amazing experiences I had with people I met in Couchsurfing.com

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After finishing high school I traveled 3 years in Asia, taught English, volunteered, founded my own website and made lots of great memories.
There is a ton of "Amazing Things I've Done" and I would like to tell you about them personally!
Trekking in 7 days from Hall, Tirol (Austria) to Brennero (Italy), surrounded by the beautiful alps with my 79-year-old grandpa, climbing South East Asia's highest volcano in Sumatra or doing a 10-day Vipassana meditation course in India are just some of them...
Doing ice-swimming every day for one whole winter. Seriously: one of the most amazing experiences of my life so far.
Countries I’ve Lived In
Germany, Netherlands, Thailand, Viet Nam
