I grew up in Ukraine, and now I live in Berlin and work as a software engineer. Before that, I lived in the UK for 2.5 years and used to help biologists in getting their Nobel prizes (unfortunately, didn't get one myself :).

I am curious by nature, and there is no shortage of things that I would like to learn about. l love trying new experiences, challenging myself out of my comfort zone, and I don't mind going wrong sometimes because that's the way one learns what is right for him. I am generally an optimistic and reasonable person.

My main aspiration is to enjoy life in the now, to be contented and at peace with myself at any (reasonably selected) moment.

Generally, I like exploring how things work, and this extends to almost any area, be it sofware or societies or human beings, so I enjoy reading/watching about all sorts of things.

I love nature and thus outdoor activities, sports, hiking, swimming, cycling.

I study German in my free time and I'm already quite decent. I aim to get B2 somewhere in 2022.

I'm good at chess, and I love board games overall.

Among the more popular directors, I like the works of Scorcese, Tarantino, Fincher, Nolan. I also like Lars von Trier, Terrence Mallick, Andrei Tarkovsky, David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick. Generally, I prefer movies to TV series.

I used to be a music geek and went deep into multiple genres, bands, and artists, but now I am more relaxed about it. I enjoy grunge, electronics, dream- and synth-pop, hip hop among everything else.
