Heyo :) I'm Anton, currently a geography student, which some days I enjoy and some days not.

In Nkhata Bay in Malawi, I founded a charity house with some friends inviting local children to spend their free time there. That house is the place I'm running this CS account for. I'm not staying there atm, I'm back in Europe but everybody is still most welcome.

PLEASE BE AWARE that you'll be hosted by the people working and living in the house, who are part of the local community. Since prices in Malawi have tripled within a year its tough for them to afford a living themselves. I kindly ask you not to expect a free hotel stay, to be humble and ready to contribute something yourself be it some food, knowledge or positivity, and to respect the people living in the house :-) please be decent when consuming cigarettes and alcohol as well since the place is to provide a safe environment for kids and youth.

Don't wanna sound too patronizing but unfortunately some recent CS experiences have taught us to be more aware of that..

Needless to say, you can have a great time in the house and with the people that will teach you a lot about the local community.

Apart from these hosting activities I'm happy about meeting people across Europe or somewhere else as their guest :-)

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is such a great door opener for travelers and hosts to meet each other in a peaceful and real way. Wonder what my travels would have looked like without CS. I'm very grateful for all people who hosted me as well as the people who came to visit me.
