ABOUT ME

Hello fellow travelers!

My name is Anton, and I'm a 24 year old law student currently living in Uppsala, Sweden. For those of you who don't know, Uppsala is about 10km or a 40 minute train ride north of Stockholm, were I grew up.
I love meeting people from different countries, especially people who are native english speakers as it gives me great practice speaking the language.
I am a very talkative person who loves argument and discussion as well as learning about every different subject imaginable. I've spent more hours reading random articles on wikipedia than I care to think about.
What I can offer the couch surfing community is, unsurprisingly, a couch. I have an apartment in Uppsala and you are very welcome to stay with me for a few days. If you are visiting Stockholm I would also be happy to show you around town since I've lived there most of my life.

Interests

I'm a complete geek in many respects, but my geekdom tends to be varied. My biggest passion is classical music, especially the baroque era. I play the classical guitar and spend at least an hour each day listening to mostly classical music, but of course I like other kinds of music as well. I love going to live concert performances too.
Another thing that I am really nerdy about is MMA, or mixed martial arts. It might seem strange for a person to split his time between Bach and fighting sweaty men, but I find the raw energy and easthetics of combat sports absolutely fascinating.
Like most people on this site I also love to travel. I've been all around western Europe, but I hope to travel to other continents soon. I'm especially interested in North and South America.

Music, Movies, and Books

Like I said above, classical music nerd.

Beethoven is good, Mozart is good, Scarlatti is good, Vivaldi is good, Grieg is good, but NOTHING beat good old Johann Sebastian.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hearing Mozarts Requiem in the Karlskirche in Vienna was an amazing musical and cultural experience.

Viewing Amsterdam from the canals on an old wooden boat in the glistening summer sun was also fantastic. It really is a fantastic city in every aspect.

I play the guitar pretty well, not the air guitar like my somewhat english-challenged guest says in his review ;).
