Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel a lot within my homeland.
For example, only this year I visited the territories of Abkhazia, Krasnodar, Primorsky and Khabarovsk territories. Enchanting waterfalls and purest mountain lakes, impenetrable Far Eastern taiga and seething rapids rivers. Mainland mountain peaks, rocky islands, endless open sea and so on. Petersburg and its environs, up to Vyborg and Koporskaya Bay. Middle and southern Urals, Chelyabinsk region, Bashkiria, etc.

I definitely like this rhythm of movement, but, nevertheless, it's time to discover the rest of the world. It is so great and limitless that I want to use every opportunity to comprehend it. I like not only to acknowledge existence, but also to understand points of view different from mine. I like to study the motives and desires that drive this or that person. I like to study the factors influencing the development of both an individual and nations. This is not taught in books - only the knowledge that came to us empirically will be valuable here. I know my country well enough. Starting from its distant borders (Kamchatka, Sakhalin, the Kuril ridge, Primorsky Krai, etc.) and continuing with the European part, including the south. I travel mainly due to the nature of my work. But that doesn't stop me from enjoying my time.
