About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To Live, with capital L. Love God, love people!
ABOUT ME
I am a single (divorced) guy, who lives alone and often with my 2 daughters. I work hard as a Project Manager with a large telecommunications company. Me and my my daughters have made some awesome trips across Europe and Asia, and when I travel alone, i will load up my motorbike and hit the road, Or I may pickup my backpack and try to get off the beaten tourist track, see beautiful places and meet people.
This is not to freak you out, but since 2002 I became a devoted christian. Since then I started working as a part time youth worker with our local church. I enjoy life and take it as it comes. I believe that meeting people is the best part of travelling, and I look forward to meeting some couching travellers.
I am not a 'party animal', nor am I a great drinker. I enjoy a good chat over a good glass, with a small group of people, but pub crawls or drinking parties are not my thing.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is not about you (me). I believe that true fulfillment in life will not found if i focus for this life on 'me', and try to create a life where i feel happy. I believe we are created by a loving God who made us with an emptyness which only He can fill. We are made to live in an intimate relationship with our Creator. Being in that place, will give true fulfillment.
That is my philosophy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For me CouchServing is new and it all started with my trip to Ireland in August 2010. I have already contacted some people there for a couch and i look forward to the experience.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Had not any sleepers here, other then friends.
Interests
I have an interest in meeting people and talk about things that matter, over a nice self-cook dinner and/or good glass of something ;-)
Parties or pub crawls are NOT my thing.
In our local church I work as a parttime youth worker, so I spend much time with and learning from youth. I love to read, ride my bike and do some occasional sailing.
