About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to make as many observations as possible about the world and try to write about them for other people.

ABOUT ME

Talkative and hyper-active, sometimes gets up to crazy things, but also very caring and helpful. I am interested in the culture and history of places I go to, though that doesn't mean I get critical about things I see.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't believe in philosophy, as going on about things only stops us from doing other things. I just get on with things. I live my life in such a way, that I don't end up a boring old sod.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like surfing the world, and I can always take people around Warsaw as I know the city and its history very well. I'd like to host, but I'm not sure how my family members would react to this idea.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have couchsurfed with two people in the Basque Country and met up with a third. It is a very good experience and by far much better than staying in hostels, though they also have their charms. Definitely after staying in all types of hotels/hostels I must say that the 5 star ones are the most boring.

Interests

I'm a sportswriter and translator, I will follow a lot of sport over the weekend, read books. I work for one of Poland's top newspapers, in which I have a regular feature writing about English football. Apart from that I enjoy travelling and meeting new people, this includes learning about their culture (I might even write about their stories if it is worthy of it).

To many...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the most amazing thing I have done in my life so far was fighting one of the best Mixed Martial Arts fighters in the world - Alistair Overeem - and taking him down. Just check out on youtube: reporter vs Overeem.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn about other peoples experiences with their countries, how they live, what the social scene looks like. I can teach many things about Warsaw once you get here, I can tell you where the getto wall stood, do a crime scene for the "Operation mexico" in which Polish resistant fighters managed to rescue prisoners from a German convoy that was bound for Nazi labour camps, and tell you about the older history of the city I have spent my past 18 years.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
