About Me

CURRENT MISSION

improve my english

ABOUT ME

After high school I left germany to see the world, since then I'm traveling, first through Europe now Canada, in september I'll start uni, but not in germany. I spent 18 years there and found out that our planet has more to offer than just this small country...
I like cooking, reading, visiting museums, skiing, biking, history, discussing and trying new things.
I'm, well I'm not so sure. Mostly, people say, friendly, open-minded, interesting, unpunctual, reliable ( I now its contrdictory), determined...

PHILOSOPHY

Leben und leben lassen, it's german and you could translate it to live and let live

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard from other travelers about this project and then I heard from a friend who tried and had good experiences with it so I thought I try and here I am :)
By now I was cs a couple of times and I had only good experiences, loving especially to talk to people more than smalltalk, and see things you wouldn't have seen or done without the advice of your host

movies: all but horror and thriller or crime
books: I read everything I can get in my hands
music: I haven't figured out yet, no hard core rock or havey metal

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

*crossed Canada (from Vancouver to PEI) with the Greyhound bus
* slept on the streets while traveling in the south of france for weeks
* knitted my own scarf
* skieed a hole season in Canada
* worked outside for 9 hours at minus 30 degree celsius
* helped giving birth to a calf
* seen an opera from Mozart in English :)
* world youth day in Cologne
* learned how to make pasta sauce in Italy from an old lady, without understanding her
* learned how to bake french cakes from une madame in Paris (I was the au pair of her grand children)

Teach, Learn, Share

always eager to learn new things but I guess I'm too young to teach anything, but my flammkuchen and r black forest cake (Im originally from the Black Forest) are pretty good and i would be happy to show you how to bake those dishes.
