My name is Antonia Layzell. I am an artist and Crystal Therapist. I make talismans and have recently opened Chalice, a Contemporary Art Gallery, Craft, and Holistic Therapy Centre.

My purpose in opening the centre is to both have the space to create and share my own art as well as the art of other people. We have a very quick turn over of exhibitions and artists because we change all artwork in the shop every moon cycle. We have a regular full moon preview of new art and activities.

There are many plans in the pipeline for developing groups and workshops within the space. Currently we have a regular Thursday evening crystal meditation group. Use of the therapy rooms, both group and 1-1 can be arranged if you have something you would like to offer the chalice community.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I am interested in healthy new perspectives and energy coming into my life and town. I think we all need a bit of colour and texture to our being and this ultimately comes from what we share with other the marks and vibrations that are made through mutally benefical company. I would like to learn about all the other great things happening out there in the world, and what better way than simply opening up and spending time with people.

Interests

My interests focus on my connection to earth and nature. I have a holistic and creative approach. I have travelled alot to Australia and hold a strong connection to that land and the ceromonies that take place there. I have been along the songlines to the red centre, and attribute my ability to connect to my land here in UK to what I have learnt from the elders and ancestors of Australia. They hold a sacred path which I am happy and very gratful to share. They have shared the ability for me to stand strong now, with a full heart in connection to my deeper heritage.
