ABOUT ME

Hello I'm Antonie.

I work at sea on a ship where I do all kinds of stuff for the energy sector like inspecting pipelines and making maps of the seafloor. I typically work 4 works on 4 works off and during my time off I like to explore Europe with my push bike. In October, I'm planning to see Greece, with short visits to Albania and FYRO Macedonia.
I would start my trip in Patras, and after cycling around the Peloponnisos, I'd be going up the Ionian Islands and then go inwards to Meteora and Lake Ohrid in Macedonia before going to Igoumenitsa where I'll catch the ferry home.
Give a shout if you can host me. I haven't CS'ed before, but I'm sure the hosting experience will give me a better idea of the inhabitants of a country, and thus increase the 'quality' of my holidays.
I've got a sleeping bag and an inflatable mattress, so I don't need much. But a shower would be appreciated :)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Some of the cycling trips I've already done include:
- from my home to the top of Denmark (Skagen)
- from Basel across Switzerland to the Stelvio in Italy, following the Top Gear route
- this summer, I cycled from Rovaniemi (Finland) to the Nordkapp and south to Trondheim (Norway)

My favourite place however has got to be Scotland, more specifically the Western Isles. It's just the rain and the midges...
