About Me
Hello! My name is Antonio and I am a 25-year-old traveler from Almería, Spain. I have been traveling as much as I could for the last three years. I love meeting new people and getting to know the cultures of the places I visit. That is why I love CS!
I currently live in Boulder, Colorado. I'm a second-year MA student in Hispanic Literature at CU Boulder, where I also teach Spanish.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe there is nothing like meeting locals in order to truly experience new places. Ever since I discovered Couchsurfing, traveling has never been the same. The connections I have made with people I met through this app are just incredible.
I would love to share my culture and experiences around the world and to learn just as much from the people I'll meet along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like most music genres, but I usually listen to rock, pop, and even country! Some of my favorite International groups are Kings of Leon, Muse, and Pearl Jam. When it comes to Spanish music, my favorite group is Vetusta Morla.
Some directors I like are Pedro Almodóvar, Quentin Tarantino, and Christopher Nolan. My favorite TV show of all time is Breaking Bad, and I also love Ozark and Bojack Horseman.
I love literature (that’s why I’m doing an MA in it). I love Spanish existentialism and realism. Two of my favorite novels of all time are Tiempo de Silencio (Luis Martín Santos) and Los Girasoles Ciegos (Alberto Méndez).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Meeting people from all over the world and becoming friends with them. What a gift!
I have lived in four different countries (Spain, the US, Mexico, and Australia). I have been to more than half of the US States. I am in love with the West!
México is my favorite country. I lived in Mexico City for 5 months and I have been to 27/32 Mexican states. My favorites are Oaxaca, Puebla, Guanajuato and Michoacán.
I worked in the Australian outback for 2 months in a place called Mount Magnet. It was a surreal experience to say the least!
I went to one of the most isolated National Parks in the United States, Big Bend National Park (Texas) and I truly loved it there. From there, I crossed to the Mexican town of Boquillas del Carmen (Coahuila) via boat and donkey. It was the most surreal border crossing ever!
Me and my friends sneaked into Roden Crater (Arizona) without really knowing what it was (we just found it on Google Maps and said "let's go"). Turned out to be an exclusive art installation people pay thousands of dollars to visit. We were found soon and kicked out, lol.
Backpacking India, Pakistan and Central Asia this year!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a Spanish teacher, so I can help y'all out with your Spanish :)
I love sharing travel stories, and talking about backpacking, hiking and nature in general.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Spanish typical food. My favourite dish is Salmorejo (and it's vegan!). I usually prepare it for my hosts, the reactions are always interesting (must be the garlic!).
