About Me
ABOUT ME
I am Antonio, and I am living now in Darmstadt,my first time living and working outside Spain. I am easy going, friendly and I like meeting new people, learning about other cultures and talking about everything. I can speak Spanish, English, and some German.
Current mission
Continue knowing different parts of Germany and the surrounding countries, meeting interesting people from the CS community both locals and travellers, and learn about this world.
Philosophy
Be yourself letting the others being themselves.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like being part of an international community like this, with the opportunity to meet so many nice people from different countries and learn about different cultures.
How I participate in CS
Specially taking part and organizing events both back in Spain (Language Exchange meetings), and here in Germany (Language Exchange, Board games meetings, Hiking events, Dinner Club, Geocaching...)
Sometimes I surf as well depending of the destination and the length of my trips. I am specially interested in meeting local people, and learn the culture, history and apart from the touristic spots, the "real" places only locals know and appreciate. Knowing a place from the local's eyes as I usually say :) This is not for me a place to get a free accommodation. Luckily I am working and can pay for it, but an opportunity to enrich a trip sharing it with locals. A really unique experience.
I am not living in a very touristy spot but I can host as well. As I am working shifts and quite busy on my free time this will not always be possible, but if I can I would be willing to show you around according to what you are interested.
Interests
A lot of things, Nature, Hiking, Languages, Travel, Meeting new people, Technology, Discover new music/films/TV series, Arts, history, culture, and so many other things I love doing.
Music, Movies, and Books
I don't have favourites, depending of the moment I like different things. Diversity!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To come to live and work in a different country, it keeps you mind open about so many things that we take for granted and are just cultural!
Apart from that, things like travelling for two weeks along my country camping every day in a different place, twice! sleeping at the top of a nice dune in a beach in southern Spain waking up with the first lights of dawn having a whole beach for you, doing a couple of different St James Ways (Camino de Santiago) meeting nice people from everywhere, or doing some yearly night picnics at the beach to enjoy the Perseids Meteor Shower...
Teach, Learn, Share
I like talking about everything, when sometimes you can learn from the people and sometimes they learn from you. Apart from that, I am always in for some German practice, and am willing to help with Spanish. I can show around if I have some free time (not always usual).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Nice conversations, help at home, my Spanish for everyone interested in learning it or practice it, even my English and German although they are not perfect :D
