About Me

Hi!
Difficult to say, I'd start by saying I love music. Meeting new people, yea I know classic, but when the time's right though! I do appreciate my solitude. I'm quite eclectic and like to think this is the reason why I am amazed by cats : from the lazy happy go-lucky to the crazy jumping all around get your kicks yes, yes, yes. Occupied many posts but by far the most interesting was occupying a stage, making a crowd feel good.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people, to discover cities, to try and continue to renew myself in radical honesty with several human mirrors.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to lots of stuff, classic rock, bossa nova, all sorts of oriental fusions (like dhaffer, emel mathlouthi) and downtempo electro. These are the regulars, also some rap, cool jazz and big band, lots of world music and I'm sorry to use that term but for the sake of convenience.

The K&D Sessions/Radiohead/Darkside/The Cinematic Orchestra + a joint = heaven.

I love lots of movies but I particularly love wes anderson's stuff and tarantino. No I'm not much of a movie buff but I love conversing with those who are:) I love mindfuck movies with weird twists/structure/scripts like donnie darko, mememnto. I'd take drama over a comedy most of the time, I like stand ups more than movies thou. I've been out of touch with new shit for almost 10 years now! X-men movies are my guilty pleasure when it comes to (semi)junk.

I love reading philosophy but it gives me a headache sometimes, philosophy novels on the other hand bring me joy: l'etranger by camus, the wolf of the steppes by herman hesse. I enjoy novels with grand ideas in general, like ishmael by daniel quinn. other non fiction mainly psychology, and very recently buddhism.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I learned french on my own and scored b2 on TCF
I know live in France, it's been almost 5 years
I quit smoking
