ABOUT ME

I am a friendly, outgoing, philosophical and fun person who enjoys meeting new people, hearing about their lives, and asking searching questions that make you think about who you are and where you are going in life.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is to try to see the positive in everyone, understand that we are all doing our best based on our life experiences, and try to support those around me in a positive way so they can take responsibility for their own path in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am pretty new to Couchsurfing so far, but the experiences I have had have been amazing!

Interests

I cycle, walk in the mountains, and I really like getting in a wetsuit and going in the sea. I love to dance and I run "free dancing" classes.

I love to travel. In 2011 I took my children to work in a remote mountain village in Nepal to work in the local schools: it opened all our eyes to what real happiness can look like and raised all sorts of questions about how happy we really are in the West!

I love time with new people, sharing experiences of life, hearing of other people's philosophies, and hoping to touch the lives of others in a positive way with some of my own perspectives.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like pretty well all music, and I prefer books and movies which extend my knowledge of people and life. I'm currently reading lots of books about psychology and relationships, and listening to lots and lots of music which makes you want to dance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2012 I spent three months cycling with my now ex-wife and our then 10 year old son from England to Spain. The trip took a huge amount of planning and organisation and was an enormous personal test for all of us which I feel we passed with flying colours!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not a complete guru in anything, but I have a pretty good perspective on most things. In particular, I can use my experience of running a successful business to help budding entrepreneurs, and my experience of life, families and relationships to help people grow and find the most pain free path through their time here on Planet Earth.
