ABOUT ME

Hi everyone,

I'm a teacher of English and music (guitar and piano), a blogger/writer, musician, podcaster (about John Lennon & The Beatles) and generally a person still trying in my early 40s to discover the true meaning of my life and the world in general and how both could be better.

I am looking for accommodation in Delhi for a few days at the start of my 6-week trip to India and will be very happy to host in the future. As a house guest and host, I am simple and minimalist so I am no trouble at all. I can offer English conversation, music and quite a wide knowledge of the world, so a person interested in cultural things would be great.

PHILOSOPHY

There's a lot I could write but basically I believe that we should all be on a journey of self-discovery and self-improvement. All our 'problems' come from lack of self-knowledge and lack of knowledge of others.

Of course we need fun too and a healthy sense of humour!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed with a charming Colombian family in 2015 and found my former apartment in Madrid through this website. I'm quite experienced at sharing houses and attending meet-ups as I've done this in London, Rome and Bologna as well as Madrid.

Interests

Music- playing and listening, very 60s-influenced
Writing- blog, short stories, musings
Books- I read voraciously fiction and especially non-fiction about lots of topics
Human Psychology- human nature, everyday human behaviour
Life improvement- it's a constant mission!
Meditation- try to be disciplined but I believe meditation can be every second of the day
Philosophy- of everyday life more than theory
Geopolitics- generally the stuff we don't see on the telly

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Done a lot of travel but staying with a hill tribe in the far North of Thailand for a week in 2000 was incredible!, especially since I'd only left home a couple of weeks earlier and had never really travelled anywhere before that.

Teach, Learn, Share

As i said, I can offer English conversation for foreigners and free guitar lessons.
I also offer good conversation and extensive knowledge of music, psychology, philosophy, film and a few other things.
