Привіт! Я Антуан, родом з Канади. Я також жив у Киргизстані, Австралії, а останні трі рокі, в Україні, де працюю у гуманітарній сфері. Зараз я беру паузу в роботі та вирушаю у довгу велосипедну подорож Україною, щоб відкрити для себе більше ціей чудовой країни та ії людей.

Мені подобається знайомитися з новими людьми, слухати їхні історії та ділитися власним досвідом у дорозі. Я відкритий як до того, щоб зупинятися у хостів, так і просто зустрічатися з людьми у містах, куди подорожую. Друзі описали б мене як допитливого, поважного та відкритого до нового.

Hi! I’m Antoine, originally from Canada. I’ve also lived in Kyrgyzstan, Australia, and for the past three years in Ukraine, where I’ve been working in the humanitarian field. I’m now setting off on a bicycle trip across Ukraine to discover more of this amazing country and its people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe travel is much more meaningful when you connect with locals. I’m hoping to meet people along the way, exchange stories, and better understand the places I pass through. Hosting or being hosted makes the road feel warmer.

Interests

I feel most at home in the mountains — whether hiking, camping, or especially rock climbing. Being outdoors, surrounded by nature, is where I recharge.

Music is another big part of my life. I enjoy all kinds, but jazz has a special place in my heart, and I play guitar whenever I can. Sharing music or discovering local sounds is always a joy.

I love literature, whether it’s novels, essays, or poetry, reading helps me see the world through different eyes. World history and geography also fascinate me, and I enjoy learning how places, cultures, and events connect across time.

Languages are another passion. I find it rewarding to learn and practice new ones, and I always try to pick up at least a few words wherever I travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I crossed the Amazon jungle by boat. I spent five months walking in the Himalayas. I cycled all the way from Paris to St. Petersburg, and another time hitchhiked from Paris to Istanbul. And a few other things!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m always up for good conversations on just about any topic. I enjoy cooking and would be happy to prepare a meal to share. Music is another passion, so if you play an instrument too, I’d love to have a jam session. Most of all, I bring curiosity, respect, and a willingness to help out however I can.
