I grew up in Finland and lived for a while in England. I graduated from medschool a few years back and now work in Turku University Hospital. I spend my free time playing the piano and doing a wide variety of sports - in addition to just hanging out with friends, of course. I'm an outdoors and nature type of person. Finland has four wonderfully different seasons and I'll make to most out of it :)

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I first joined on a recommendation by friend, several years back now. My only own couch surfing experience is from France, Chamonix, and it was awesome! I was greatly inspired by the hospitality of my hosts and wanted to offer the same hospitality to travelers in Finland. I hosted people actively for a few of years and loved it. During the past couple of years I have been unable to continue hosting, unfortunately. There's a time and place for everything, I guess.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

As far as travelling goes, here's some amazing highlights from my adventures :)

Bathing under a small waterfall in Grand Canyon after a hard day of hiking. I had to pop blisters using a cactus needle!

Learning how to ski in the Alps! And sunbathing by the skiing slopes!

Hiking in Kata Tjuta / Uluru / King's Canyon in the outback of Australia. I counted at least a billion stars at night.

Massively underestimating the hiking distances and difficulty in Jotunheim National Park, Norway, and surpassing my limits with the help of several Nutella cans.
