About Me

Hi there! I am Anushka, I'm currently in Brisbane, Australia. I used to study in Malaysia, Singapore and Glasgow before this and used couchsurfing extensively to travel around South-East Asia and made many good friends :) I am very friendly and energetic, love a good banter and always up to try new things. I enjoy having meaningful conversations and I love a good discussion regardless of what topic it is on. I love travelling because it helps me to understand cultures and differences in them while having an insane amount of fun and also making loads of new friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that travel should be easily available to everyone as it really changes a person and helps them grow into a better, more empathetic and knowledgeable person. However, I also know the challenges of travelling and how expensive it can get, not to mention most hotels will not provide a friendly face to guide around the city and share insider secrets. I hope to be that friend for people when they come to my city and find friends when i go to other cities.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I guess I haven't done much but a small thing is that during a plane ride, the woman a couple seats ahead collapsed and at that time, I was just a first year medical student but I tried to do CPR on her and I don't know what happened to her after, but she did regain her pulse. I don't know if that is considered amazing, but i was 18 so it felt pretty good haha
