About Me

Born and brought up in India, I am working as a journalist for a Indian Media House. I have started traveling locally, finding budget friendly options. I really want to cross boundaries and travel to off beat places while also living at those places, maybe do some odd jobs to live for a few weeks or months.. Maybe this is my current mood, but I don't want to stay stagnant and settle down in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because, a really dear friend of mine told me that this is the best place I can find like minded people and maybe get to travel to places I wouldn't have even thought of adding to my list.

Interests

books, music, writing, meeting new people, listening to stories, exploring new places, walking unknown and random streets.

Music, Movies, and Books

the fray, one republic, taylor swift, AR Rehman... my list of favorite music goes on and on..
My favorite bollywood movie is Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and hollywood film I can watch again and again is Ugly Truth.
I like any genre of books, though I need a lot of patience for Paulo coelho but some other authors I read are Agatha Christie, J K Rowling, Rudyard Kipling, Sudha Murthy, Twinkle Khanna and some regional Indian authors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I quit on my engineering job because I wanted to become a journalist and writer. I love my job and I am happy to be doing what I always wanted to, a feat really rare to many children in India!

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn about different cultures, people, cuisines and history of places. Unfortunately, I have never traveled outside India but fortunately this country has a lot of diversity in itself so I have learnt a lot from the many people I have worked with, lived with and interacted with.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Indian Food Tips and Recipes :p, I can share my experiences, help in their work, manage finances, be a philosopher, teach the Indian Gita and Mahabharata, be an amazing love guide and so on.
