Hello there! I'm Anwen :)

I live in Berlin and work in tech. I share a small flat so I am sad I have no space to host :(

My previous career was in museums and historic buildings and I still love to go to galleries and explore local history and architecture.

I usually have some kind of challenge I'm working on - at the moment I'm training for my first half-marathon (scared). In my free time I do yoga, make dinner for friends, learn Italian and try and get my head in a book from time to time.

I'm thinking about studying psychology bit it seems rather daunting!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Life is short! There are many places I've wanted to visit for a long time, this year I'm making it a focus to go and see them.

I started travelling quite young and come from a creative family - so I love to hear people's stories and I do my best to share and tell my own :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I spent each summer as a kid in Ireland so I'm used to pub singing and folk - enthusiasm is better than talent in my view :) I love trashy rom-coms, historic dramas, goofy comedies and thrillers. I ditched Netflix for Mubi to try and see more international film after binge-watching too much mainstream stuff over Covid. I read a lot of self-improvement or coaching books for work so my fiction reading is pretty slow right now.

I can teach you how to pronounce the longest train station name in Welsh. Or how to join in an Irish ceilidh (group dance).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I work as a coach so I'm generally a great listener and problem solver. On the silly side I enjoy swapping stories and trying to make you laugh :)
