Overview
About Me
I AM NOT IN INDIA RIGHT NOW. I AM IN NEW JERSEY, USA.
I'm not hosting very regularly right now. But I am more than happy to share any information that you might need about travelling in India. Happy travelling!
I am not hosting more than one guest at a time so travelers in pairs and groups please don’t send me requests. Please read the "My Home" part of the profile and make sure it suits you before you request to stay with me. I am pretty easy going and guests should not feel compelled to hang out with me - I have travelled a bit myself and understand that sometimes you just need to take a nap!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My dive instructor in the Andamans introduced me to this forum and it has been a wonderful experience so far. I have heard wonderful things about it and I am glad to say that I have experienced the same first hand. That I love travelling is an understatement. There are loads of places in India itself that I have not been to, but I am still well travelled even if such is restricted geographically. I love it when I can help other travellers out with their queries and its reciprocated.
Interests
I love reading. I like taking long walks. I am extremely comfortable with solitude. I cannot cook to save my own life but I do love trying new dishes from different cuisines around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
I do not have any particular genre of music that I can call my favourite. I could watch Dead Poets Society day in and out. Apart from that I love Schindler's List, The Pianist, Notting Hill, Pretty Woman, Erin Brockovich, Swades.
I don't want to get started on books because there is no stopping. I love Jeffrey Archer's work and you could say Kane and Abel is my favourite. Apart from that I love The Hungry Tide by Amitav Ghosh, The Unaccustomed Earth and The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri and The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. I did enjoy reading The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins and Code Name God by Mani Bhaumik as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Overcome my fear of the ocean and tried out scuba diving. I almost balked when I was told of the compulsory swimming test in the open ocean but made it through.
Teach, Learn, Share
This is tough. I'm open to learning pretty much anything under the sun. I don't know what I can teach, maybe the basics of Hindi? 😛
I'm willing to share my home and I guess that counts the most here!
What I Can Share with Hosts
A meal, a walk, conversations - if you are up for it of course! Otherwise I am quite happy on my own and you don't have to feel that you have to hang out with me compulsorily... I am clean and considerate when I am in your home.
