About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have my mind blown!

ABOUT ME

They would declare that I'm just crazy and a darling! I love meeting new people and hearing them speak about themselves. I love absorbing knowledge about every random fact. I love trying new things and visiting new places. And I like helping people whenever I can. I happen to have a group of friends all around the world who are the best individuals possible... and I love expanding that list.

I'm just an overworked researcher, who happens to obsess about multiple things at the same time, building castles in the air. I have a list of things that I plan to do before I die, which include travelling around the world and attempting to solve global problems of population and poverty. The others, I guess, would need to be discussed face to face.

PHILOSOPHY

Live as you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.
-Mahatma Gandhi

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to this experience. Right now I live in an apartment that isn't kind to couchsurfing and can't host. But I would like to offer my services as a host and local tour guide. I like San Diego as a city, and am in the process of discovering secret places that happen to be delights. I would be glad to make new companions and share my knowledge of what's good around this city, as well as discover new ones.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Off this site, I have couch surfed on a word of mouth (friend of friend) basis to NYC, LA and London (UK). I'm looking forward to travelling around the world, going through my list of must-see places and things to do.

Interests

I am addicted to my job of trying to cure cancer (something that may not be accomplished till after I die, realistically!) Outside that, my interests range in random things like history of the dark ages, sufism, evolution, swimming and backyard sky-watching. I am obsessed with TED and would encourage you to watch some of their talks even if you don't agree with the ideas. I hunt for facts by reading books or listening to people speak. I also love to chill out with my friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. I've seen my friends become very successful individuals who are champions in their fields!

2. I've spent exactly 30 hours in New York city on foot without checking into a hotel. It was a random visit with a friend and we decided to just roam the streets till we couldn't take it anymore and then take a Greyhound bus home.

3. I've actually seen a live tiger up close and not behind a cage. I had this amazing trip to the Dudhwa National Park in India where we actually got to meet a tiger up close! I was left awestruck, which was useful coz the tiger didn't see me.

4. I've lost and found myself in Yosemite under the light of blazing stars.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't consider myself to be an expert on anything yet, but I can go on and on for hours about genetics, Indian history, the stories of Hinduism and science in general.

I would love to learn swimming (am just a beginner), music (I love it but never got around to being trained for it), and about your life and experiences. There are very few things I'm not interested in learning about.
