About Me

Hey there!
My name is Anya. I’m 22 y.o.
I study journalism at the Moscow University. Now I’m at fifth grade and just come back home after exchange in Brussels. Honestly I still don’t realize who I want to be when I grow up but I really like sociology, cinematography and music . I’m really into exploring the world and society around.

While staying in Brussels me and my friend (roommate) started to use CS as hosts. And I love it!

And I hope that Couchsurfing helps me to meet new interesting people around the world and see new places from sight of locals.

Started learning Spanish!

You can check out my instagram to be sure that I’m a nice person, like doing makeup and traveling the world (enigmaticane4ka)

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste often depends on my current mood. But at general, I like sort of indie, folk or alternative music, a bit post-punk and rock (especially Russian 80-90’s one). Most of all I LOVE all the 80’ music and cinema. I love classic like Queen, David Bowie, Elvis, R.e.m. and so on. There are some modern artist I can remember right now: Tom Odell (huge love!), Jaymes Young, Vance Joy, metronomy, of monsters and men, mgmt, la femme and so on. I really like Russian alternative, so I can tell a lot about our music (especially 80-90’one)
About cinema... there are movies that firstly appeared on mind: “The secret life of Walter Mitty” , “La La land”, “Dirty Dancing”, “Sixteen candles” (and other Hughes movies), “10 things I hate about you”, “inception”, “wag the dog”, “99 francs”, “the holiday” all 90-00’s USA melodramas like “pretty woman” or “serendipity” and omg this list is endless!
About books. I like Russian classic (like Griboyedov, Dostoevsky, Lermontov, Pushkin etc.), something easygoing and bright like Jane Austen and something thought provoking like Hugo, Balzac or Zola.

Teach, Learn, Share

So! I know a lot of funny and interesting videos in the Internet that you (I hope) never seen before. I can tell you about legends of Russian (Soviet) music phenomenas like Kino or Aquarium. And about modern Russian music that worth attention.
I can help with learning Russian or just teach you some funny or useful words. I’m very good at cooking and maybe I will teach you how to make best pancakes ever.
I’m an vodka expert.
