I am curently building the foundation of the arts movements of today and tomorrow.

ABOUT ME

"I have in me such an intensity of life." I enjoy people who find the humor in chaos and the humility in thought. I admire people who crave silence. I have occasionally dreamt of things that actually happened shortly thereafter. I sing in the shower and when I walk to the train and back, and I dance even if no one else is. I am blunt and sarcastic, but open to shutting up. Someday I will open a Fine Arts warehouse/community center, where each floor will be dedicated to a different art-form and the production of it, and there will be residential space and greenhouses on top and possibly a chicken coop.

I have hosted many times before, but never officially through this site.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I took a train-trip across the U.S. this past fall, and surfed on the couches of loved ones who had moved to other more western cities. I have hosted surfers from China, France, Germany, Italy, Colombia, Spain, Denmark and from all over the continental U.S. by way of roommates who were registered through this site.

Interests

Art. Arts. Performance. Collaboration. Children. Words of all kinds. Reading everything - signage, boxes, clothing, periodicals, books, emails, letters, found letters, love letters, personals, etc. Sometimes contributing my own words - when I can muster the discipline. Riding trains. When it is warm I love riding my bike and going for mini-adventures. Cloud-watching, not necessarily looking for shapes - just watching. Dreaming and remembering them. And I also think plate tectonics are pretty fucking cool. And um . . . so are monkeys. Masks. Naps. Snuggles. Bubbles. Apples and Peanut Butter. Sparklies. Ribbon. Kitties. Zits. I am fascinated by tensions on/in/from different people and the relief of them. Dancing with my eyes closed. Smoking.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like songs. Fuck genres, bands, etc. If it makes me wanna dance - it makes me pretty hot. As far as film goes, I really like anything Charlie Kauffmann wrote, specifically "Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind." "True Romance." Eddie Izzard's "Dressed to Kill." "The Big Lebowski." The new "Batman" movies. "Legend." "Empire Records." I read everything I can get my hands on if I have the time. My favorite authors are Tom Robbins, Chuck Palahniuk, Margaret Atwood, Neil Gaiman, and Michael Pollan, and my favorite books are Robbins' "Another Roadside Attraction" and Gaiman's "American Gods."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I loved the old growth forests in the Pacific Northwest. (I had no idea plants could grow like that.)
