About Me
CURRENT MISSION
learn 20 languages (all at the same time?)
ABOUT ME
sometimes a New York jewish accent comes out when I'm not paying attention, even though I don't have one
PHILOSOPHY
Respect people and things. Explore new cultures, and take everything seriously and not-so-seriously.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just getting started, hoping to participate as fully as possible! I want to affirm for myself and for others that there are good, wonderful people out there, and we don't always have to be afraid.
I know that crashing in Oberlin, Ohio might not be the most exciting idea, but if you're interested in meeting American students from all over the country in a "typical" midwestern setting (cornfields, vegetable stands by the side of the road, Cleveland Orchestra!!) then Oberlin might just be a nice stop on a cross-country adventure.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None as of yet, but after hearing the wonderful experiences my friends have had, I look forward to meeting new people and new places as soon as possible
Interests
Enjoying art, theater, music, books, dance, ANYTHING is more beautiful and enriching when you've experienced it with someone else. My interest in meeting new people is undeniably linked to my love of having new experiences and exchanging ideas.
I'm always happy going to the movies, exploring places, reading, going to museums, painting, drawing, seeing theater and going to concerts. Dancing too, of course--being sociable in every context. I like getting along with people, hanging out. Picking up new languages.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Tin Drum by gunter grass, To the Lighthouse by virigina woolf, The Moor's Last Sigh by Salman Rushdie, Lolita by Nabokov, Mademoiselle de Maupin by Théophile Gautier, soooo many more mmmm books. Currently reading L'écume des Jours by boris vian.
I love experimental film and movies with great acting and images that stick in your brain for years. But doesn't everyone? And music of all kinds--classical, punk, folk, pop, hip-hop...whatever you can chill to or dance to.
