ABOUT ME
I spent my childhood roaming the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains north of Los Angeles and pretending the collection of rocks in my pockets contained fossilized insects and pieces of dinosaur bones.
I studied Visual Art at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My studies there led me to explore the intersection between humanity and nature through art making.
I've journeyed to the Arctic Circle where I met Hallbjörn Hjartarson, the one and only Icelandic Cowboy. I built a fort in the remains of his childhood home, learned of resident witches and elves, and climbed the same mountain three times. I have spent some time as an art studio assistant in remote New Mexico, assisting in the construction of a 11 story granite pyramid that contains a staircase which runs at the exact angle of the earth's axis.
Most recently I've been working on an 18 acre vegetable farm outside of Pittsburgh where I have developed a love for turnips.
