About Me

Guys, I'm really cool, I promise! 😅
Some facts:
- age: indeterminate (gets excited like a child, complains like an old man)
- occupation: student (nordic linguistics, history&literature)
- lives in: Tromsø, Norway; before that: Caen, France; originally: Russia
- dietary habits: vegetarian
I believe that anything can be fun in the right company (or mood): I will join you for hiking, kayaking, a visit to a modern or classical art museum, a fashion show, a crackhouse (probably not though), a farm or a DnD tournament and love it!
Ready to learn, talk (or even fight) about pretty much anything: is aquaponics going to save the planet? is Gillian Anderson the most beautiful woman on Earth? is it weird that your mum named you after her ex-boyfriend? Seriously, sparking my interest doesn't take much effort at all.
Forever curious about other human beings and how their brains work.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had this profile forever, but never actually used it until recently. Travelling on your own can get lonely, and what better way to make friends fast in a foreign country, if not trapping them in the same flat as you! Saving a buck doesn't hurt either. But I think your trip is bound to be 10 times more memorable and unique if you get to meet some cool people and hopefully get them to show you all the beautiful spots hidden from ~regular~ tourists.
Fingers crossed I'll get to host one day, but for now I'm stuck in 10m2 student housing. Always up for hanging out if you're in Tromsø though!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll go with series instead of movies (in no particular order): The Magicians, The End of the F***ing World, The OA, Ozark, Sharp Objects, Firefly, The Girlfriend Experience, Braindead, Fleabag, Black Books, Seinfeld, Red Oaks, The Fall, The Newsroom, The Leftovers, How to Get Away with Murder, Utopia (UK), The IT Crowd, True Blood, Hemlock Grove, Brooklyn 99, Downton Abbey, Bad Education, Penny Dreadful, The Good Place.

Mostly have been reading for uni lately, but the last two books I read for myself and absolutely loved were Milan Kundera's "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" and Peter Høegs "Frøken Smillas fornemmelse for sne".

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to embroider your clothes, astral project, get over your ex, make a delicious vegan lasagna (yes it's possible even without cheese).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Will share my alcohol, my wisdom, my passion for life.
