关于我
CURRENT MISSION
to climb a tree and hang out with a sloth in Central America
ABOUT ME
I was born in Dublin, Ireland and my family immigrated to Australia when I was 2 years old. I grew up in Australia and spent my summers in University going back to Ireland to spend time with my dear Grandma.I was working as a Special Education teacher in a low-socio-economic area of Brisbane before I decided to pack up my entire life and go travelling. I spent most of 2010 working and travelling in South America. It was a crazy, wild, sometimes fascinating but infuriating, sometimes depressing, sometimes wonderful but very enriching time of my life.
I am currently working and living in Inglostadt a small city about an hour away from Munich, Germany. I accepted a job here as a Kindergarten teacher and have spend the last few months slowly discovering German culture and way of life.
PHILOSOPHY
Be kind to yourself, you deserve it!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I had a few couch surfers stay with me when I was living in Brisbane.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My dear friend Dr Elisabeth and I couch surfed around CHile and Argentina for a month and were lucky as we always had good experiences. We both agreed that it was much more enriching staying with locals than staying in a hostel with other travelers. We got an insight into peoples way of life, the culture and met many amazing and beautiful people. Thanks guys!

I love singing, dancing, riding my bike, good storytellers, laughing hysterically with friends, spending Sunday afternoons curled up with a good book, cups of tea with my mum, cooking, seeing the sun after weeks of waking up and coming home in the dark and cold, and sharing a nice bottle of wine and good conversations with dear friends.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情
I went to Epi Island in Vanatu in Jan, 2009. I had planned to stay in the main town for 4 days but when I landed on the tiny air strip in the middle of the field at the edge of the island, I was slightly befuddled and ended up jumping on a truck that took me on a wild adventure through the jungle. It started to piss down raining and I had to hold on for my dear life so I was not thrown out of the truck. 2hrs later I ended up in a tiny village on the other side of the island- not where I intended. I stayed in a little bungalow by myself and I was lucky to meet a lovely American girl who was apart of the peace corp there. She took me around the surrounding villages and I meet almost everyone there was to meet. That night there was the biggest storm ever and I was terrified that either my little sticky hut would be struck by lightening or a massive wave would come and wash us all away. The next night I stayed with my friend in the village and we ate chocolate ( very special) danced to my mobile tunes, went to church ( these people can sing) ate the local food- lap lap, and had a brilliant time.
This was a totally amazing experience...not what I expected and at times i was scared shitless but I'll always remember it. Its got me craving for more!

Gingernut biscuits are nice because they are spicy. But five for breakfast is not such a good idea as it can make your tummy sore and bloated.Thats why if you have five biscuits and you have five friends, then you should share them with your friends so they all can have bloated tummies just like you. Lesson learnt!
