ABOUT ME

I'm a bizarre mix of geek and outdoorswoman. I'm an otaku, a fangirl, a gamer, a trekkie, a cosplayer, a movie-buff, and practically everything in between. But I'm also a horse wrangler, an archery instructor, a backpacker, and a geocacher, who does a lot of free-climbing, spelunking, and distance-cycling in her free time. For me, the spice of life is experiencing the new and alien and fantastic as it exists in reality, so travel is absolutely among my ultimate delights.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only couch-surfed once so far, with my friend Megan. It was a decidedly positive experience and I knew right away that this was something of which I wanted to be a part.

Movies: Sci-fi, Action/adventure, practically anything but rom-com.
Music: I have NO taste in music. I like almost anything I hear if I hear it more than once. My music collection is *very* eclectic.
Books: Anything on the spectrum of epic-fantasy to sci-fi satire, with occasional classics thrown in.

I've ridden an ostrich (poorly).
