About Me

I know San Francisco is an expensive place to visit. I'd like to share my apartment with respectful and personable people who would benefit from being in a great location, and will pass on the good karma to others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like chatting with people with different backgrounds from my own, who have different ideas than my own.

I also like the idea that travelers would have a better experience exploring San Francisco by staying with a local and in a central location than they would if they stayed at a hostel/cheap hotel/Airbnb.

Interests

My time is mostly taken up by work, and after that, rock climbing and hanging out with friends. But beyond that, these are some of my interests:

  • ethics
  • hiking
  • rock climbing
  • statistics
  • biking
  • acoustic guitar
  • behavior change
  • beatles
  • social psychology
  • global health
  • harmony
  • catan

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In high school, I was the biggest baseball fan, and I slept overnight outside the baseball stadium for a chance to see the Boston Red Sox compete for a chance to go to the World Series. I think I paid 1/4 of my summer earnings for that ticket.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to bike to the Golden Gate Bridge.
I'm sure there's much I can learn from you.
I'm happy to share my home so that you can have a more enjoyable time in SF than if you didn't do Couchsurfing!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share an air mattress and couch in my living room, a bathroom, kitchen, and patio, and answers to any questions you may have.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Canada, France, Germany, Iceland, India, Netherlands, Peru, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Viet Nam
