Overview
About Me
I work as a freelance journalist and travel as soon as I get the chance. Since December 2013 I live in Mexico City, which I really enjoy. I also love skiing, hiking & hanging out with friends.
In my work and free time I try to understand the world a little more piece by piece and I am looking forward to keep on doing that by getting to know new people in new places.
I don't eat meat, but love fish and seafood.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a first experience I stayed at a great guy's place in Santiago, Chile, through a similar site in 2004. Now I have a few newer really good experiences from couchsurfing and think it's a brilliant way of travelling.
Interests
Travelling, friends, journalism, politics, skiing, hiking, surfing, horseback riding, good food, music, dance, movies etc. I love to be outside in the nature but can also really enjoy a good meal and a concert or a movie in the city.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not very good at lists like this, but Fear of Flying was a great reading experience, no matter is was decades after it came out. I generally love non-fiction and would highly recommend The Underground Girls of Kabul which I finished recently.
I listen to quite a lot of Swedish music and am happy to introduce you to some.
At the moment I'm trying to get to know the Mexican movie scene, there are surely quite a few good ones!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Most times of traveling are amazing in one way or another; like hiking and horseback riding in Patagoina, swimming with turtles in Mexican Akumal and climbing the volcano of Chilean Villarica, or to see the modern history of Serbia present in Belgrad, visit the rainforests of Mozambique and the incredible Valle del Cocora in Colombia.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love just sharing thoughts and get to know things about the place I'm visiting, it's history and culture. We can speak English or Spanish and I guess I would need to practice the French I don't use a lot anymore.
